General Election 2017 – Ruddington Candidates

Between 7am and 10pm on Thursday June the 8th we get our next chance to help choose Ruddington’s representative at Westminster. This follows the decision by Prime Minister Theresa May to call an early General Election.

There are five candidates for the Rushcliffe Constituency. This includes our current MP Kenneth Clarke, who has decided to stand again after holding the seat for the Conservatives for the last 47 years.

If you are not registered to vote, have moved address or changed your name, you can still apply to register online. BUT your application must be received by Monday the 22nd of May 2017 to register for this election.

If you would like to vote by post, you will need to complete an application form.  Your application must be received before 5pm on Tuesday 23 May 2017 if it is to be effective for this election. Depending upon where in Ruddington you live, if you’re voting on the day it will either be in St Peter’s Rooms or the Village Hall – as stated on your poll card.
